The Help Review

Lexi Fiore

I recently watched the movie called The Help. And wow is all I have to say! This movie blew my expectations. It was revolved in Mississippi in 1960's during. Very biased time period. The civil rights movement movies are always ones that catch my eye and keep me interested.

The Help is a movie during the 1960's civil rights movement. The main characters all had their own black maids. They disrespected them, all of them except Miss Celia. She had the most respect for her Maid, she ended up being more of her friend. The basis of the movie is a girl who was raised by a black maid, grows up to be a writer for the newspaper. During her writing for her newspaper, she decided to write a book about the maids she involved her life in and write their stories.

Emma Stone was a fabulous actor. She did a great job with her emotions and got me feeling sad at times too. Another one of my favorite actors in this film was the one who played Miss Celia. She showed so much respect for Minnie unlike any other person she worked for. It made me happy to see her treat other with respect and maturity.

Love love love this movie. That is all.

I give this movie a 5/5 rating :)
