Glory Review

Title of film- Glory

Just recently in school I have watched the movie glory. After watching it I really wanted to write a review on it. This movie was about the American Revolution. It's about the United States' first all-African-American regiment, the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry

In Massachusetts in 1863, the first all African American regiment. They were all educated, none of which were run away slaves. They joined the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infrantry willing, wanting to fight for their country. Even when they were threatened their lives they still fought. Officer Shaw was an officer himself in the federal army during the civil war. He volunteered to lead the first company of black soldiers. He had to deal with the prejudices of both the enemy and of his fellow officers.

The main actors were Denzel Washington, Mathew Broderick, Cary Elwes. They all did a good job. The best was Broderick since his role was the hardest. He really felt emotion. The rest was okay, the movie lacked some character.

In all, I felt the movie was pretty boring. It almost made me fall asleep. It was lacking suspense, emotion, character and all around entertaining. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone because I did not enjoy it at all.

The rating of the movie - R

I give this movie a 1 out of 5.
